Welcome to The Hill's Wedding that took place 07/21/2018 in Valdosta, Georgia. This was the most beautiful wedding I've attending in my life time. The entire wedding party was beautiful and the venue was decorated for perfection.
As I sat with the grooms-men for a little while I could tell Don (The Groom) was nervous, but it was so adorable! For the last few minutes before it was time for her to walk down the isles I sat with her. She told her makeup artist and I that she was nervous but excited to be marrying the love of her life. I couldn't help but cry as I admired her dress and her love for her soon to be husband.
What made this moment even more beautiful is the amount of love and support that they were surrounded by. Kamiah's bridal party was so supportive of her, showering her with compliments and making sure she didn't have anything to worry about on her big day. Don's grooms-men was the same, hyping him up and making sure that he was dressed sharp for his bride.
The way her mother was there for her was beautiful also, I stood by while her Grandmother prayed with her and over her union before it was time to walk out. This was an awesome wedding, and me and the women who helped me enjoyed every moment of it.
A year ago I experienced my first wedding, prior to that wedding I had no experience. I remember packing up my camera and flash and just going! Once I arrived at the venue I came in contact with a lot of challenges. People were standing in the isles taken photos with their phone, the lighting was horrible and my camera flash didn't make it any better. Out of all the pictures I had taken I only had five decent images. After that day I told myself wedding photography wasn't for me, and I would never do a wedding again. Until one day I got a message for Kamiah (The Bride), she asked me did I take pictures for weddings. I explained to her that I don't have much experience and I also told her why I don't take pictures at weddings. But I realized that instead of giving up on wedding photography because of one bad gig, give it another try! So I agreed to photograph her wedding but I made sure to have all my stuff together before hand. I got the technical part out of the way and then I began searching for photographers to help me out with the wedding. I contacted around five different photographers to weight out my options until I finally came in contact with Kevia (the owner of Blemished Photography) & my great friend Kiana (an aspiring Photographer).RSS Feed
